It is comparatively but a few years since the small towns had a library hardly worthy the name, now there is scarce on if any, but what is the possessor of a well equipped library whose shelves are running over with books waiting for more room when they are not out on their errands of mercy, lifting humanity in mental development to loftier summits and a higher range. The opportunity awaits every youth as well as individual of maturer years to enter through the medium of books, the companionship of men and women of letters, who have had at their disposal the wisdom of the ages. The unequalled privilege never possessed before by modern civilization should inspire as well as animate the masses of the people.
