Mirick Spear


1899 Mirick Spear dies, leaving $1500 in his will for a building to be erected of wood, brick or stone and metal or slate roof”… to be called the MN Spear Memorial library building. A bookseller in Amherst (Established what is today Hastings) gave 100 volumes to the library.
